A car lost control in the Banjar Umasari area, Kerobokan Kelod Village, North Kuta, Badung on Sunday, November 22 yesterday.
The car that lost control crashed into a resident from Kerobokan identified as Ketut Sutapa and 63 years old, until he died at the scene.
Before crashing into Sutapa, the car hit the pillar of the Bale Banjar Umasari building. According to information obtained, this silver expander type car with a DK 1247 QU car plate was driven by a French national named Theo Bour who was only 20 years old.
Theo Bour who lives in Villa 73, Gang Manik Petitenget North Kuta, came from north to south at high speed.
When passing the bend to the right in front of Bale Banjar Umasari, the driver could not control the vehicle. The car went straight instead.
“It was not controlled, so I just drove towards the banjar at high speed,” said a source from the police when confirmed yesterday.
The car, driven by a foreign national from France, entered the Bale Banjar Umasari area at high speed.
Unfortunately, at that time the victim Ketut Sutapa was doing cleaning in the Banjar hall area.
Unfortunately, Sutapa could not avoid the death that came to him because the incident happened so fast. He was hit by the vehicle to death on the spot.
“The victim died on the spot when he was hit,” he said.
The body of the victim who was known to work as a security guard was then taken to the Mangusada Regional Hospital, Badung, using a KBS ambulance. Meanwhile, the expander vehicle belonging to the collector was towed and taken to the Badung Resort Police.
It was confirmed separately from the Head of Traffic and Traffic Police of the Badung Resort Police, Ipda Tri Wahyu Rahmawati, that this incident occurred at 05.30AM local time.
Currently this collision case is being handled by the Badung Resort Police Traffic.
