Bali United’s coach, Steffano Cuggura hopes his team can win the ASEAN zone group phase and move forward to the next step in AFC Cup. Cugurra hopes his team can play well, learning from their bad performance last year.

Bali United and Persipura Jayapura are going to compete today in the drawing phase in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Bali United will compete in the ASEAN zone phase group on June 22nd – June 28th, as they were the winner of the season that represented Indonesia in 2019. Meanwhile, Perspura will be having a play-off for the ASEAN zone on May 19th, 2021 while waiting for the winner of the preliminary play-off on April 28th.

Overall, there are twelve groups that will compete in the ASEAN Zone group phase in which ten of them are automatically passed from the last match and the other two are from the play-off match.

ASEAN Zone consists of three groups where there are four teams in each group. Bali United is in Pot 2 along with Singapore 1 and Myanmar. Philippine, Vietnam 1, and Malaysia 1 are in pot 3. Pot 1 consists of Cambodia, Vietnam 2, and Malaysia 2. While Singapore 2 and and two winners from the play-off session will be in the Pot 4 .

Cuggura and his team are hoping they get their luck for this drawing session so they can prepare for the AFC.
