The process of building a customary village assembly building in Karangasem regency has begun. This was followed by the groundbreaking ceremony carried out by Bali Governor Wayan Koster on Sunday (23/8).
The head of the Karangasem Customary Village Council, I Wayan Artha Dipa, said that the construction of the customary village assembly building was a historical breakthrough made by the leaders of the Bali Provincial government. “So far there has never been this kind of history. But, thanks to the seriousness of the Bali governor, finally the building can be built,” he said.
Artha Dippa added, the construction of the building was budgeted at 3.3 billion rupiah from the Bali provincial government. The building that will be built will be two floors on a land area of 7.8 are located on Jalan Ngurah Rai. “We hope that with the construction of this building, Karangasem Customary Village Council will be able to carry out its duties properly to build a traditional village in the future,” he said.
Governor of Bali Wayan Koster explained that this year only seven customary village assembly buildings were built in regencies / cities in Bali. The development in Karangasem is the third.
For the first time, the construction was carried out in Gianyar, Jembrana, after that, only Karangasem. The budget prepared for the construction of seven customary village assembly buildings plus the customary village assembly building in Bali Province is 30 billion rupiahs through Corporate Social Responsibility funds.
