The island of God reopens its gate to domestic tourists on the first of August 2020 after closing its gate for a few months due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
There were around 4000 tourists came to Bali on the first day of Bali reopening. The first 84 passengers flying from Jakarta with Garuda Indonesia were welcomed by flower garlands given directly by Bali’s Vice Governor Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardana Sukawati or more known as Cok Ace. This act was done to mark the official reopening.
On July 26-30 alone, Ngurah Rai Airport served 17,757 domestic passengers on 278 flights. This represents 1 17 percents increase from the week of July 19-23, with 15,153 passengers on 256 flights. This is a significant increase, compared to the whole month of June alone Ngurah Rai Airport only received 17,861 domestic arrivals.
According to Angkasa Pura I spokesman, Rahmat Adil Indrawan the daily average of passenger hit the number of 2,463 passengers.
“For the movement of domestic route passengers, slowly but surely we are seeing a good increase. [In July] up to July 30, we served 73,875 passengers with a daily average of 2,463 passengers,” Rahmad said.
