Shop-houses in Kuta On Fire

A fire broke out in five shop-houses and five boarding houses owned by I Wayan Widiana (62) on Jalan Mataram, Bajar Pelasa, Kuta, Badung, Thursday (13/8). Due to the incident, I Wayan Widiana suffered a loss of 500 million Rupiah.

According to the source, two witnesses were asked for testify, Andik Tri Wahyudi (39) and I Ketut Rudia (45), the initial chronology said that they went out of the room at 7.15AM local Bali time and saw a spark of fire from the inside of the shop-houses and the fire continued to grow.

Seeing the situation, the two witnesses called people inside the boarding house to ask for help to banjar residents. “The victim called Babinsa and Bhabinkamtibmas to ask for fire fighting,” said the source.

Around 10 minutes after, six fire fighting units came to the scene. The fire was successfully extinguished at 08.45 local Bali time.

“The cause of the fire is suspected to be electrical short circuit. The Sectoral Police of Kuta is now investigating the case.” Added him.
