Two fishermen disappeared while fishing from Kelan waters while heading south of Tanah Lot. They departed on Sunday (04/10) around 04.00PM local time to catch tuna.
The search by the joint search and rescue team entered the second day after Monday (5/10) night, 2 local fishermen’s jukung started sweeping. It is known the identities of the two fishermen named Heri Widodo (38) and Diki (21) who live in Jalan Kecubung, Kelan Abian Neighborhood, Tuban Village, Kuta District, Badung Regency. According to information from the owner of the jukung, Nyoman Sudiarta, the missing characteristics of the jukung are inscribed with outih colored Armada with a length of 11 meters and a width of 120c, as well as 2 machines attached.
Today, Tuesday (6/10) the joint search and rescue team deployed 1 unit of Rigid Inflatable Boat (RIB) to conduct searches around the waters where victims normally go at sea. Darmada provided information related to the SRU involved, including the Bali Search and Rescue Agency, the Bali Police Marine Police Directorate, the Bali Regional Police, Badung Navy Post, Kedonganan Marine Police Post, SAI Rescue Relindo, Senkom, local fishing groups and family parties.
The focus of the search was on the second day of search and rescue operations around the waters of Kelan-Tanah Lot. The area for RIB sweeping is approximately 17.4 NM using the parallel search method. Meanwhile, the SRU sweeping area using a rubber boat is around 10.8 NM. In different places, the land SRU is in Kelan to coordinate with local fishermen and then carry out monitoring to the west and south. “As a result of the coordination with the Kelan fishermen group, there will be a search for them later at 09.00 local time, said Darmada.
