US Fugitive in Bali Set to be Exchanged with 2 Indonesian Fugitives in US

Marcus Beam, American fugitive who recently got detained in Bali during his hiding while being wanted for making pornographic videos is set to be exchanged with two Indonesian fugitives who are detained in the United States.

Beam is said to be hiding out in Bali for a few months since January after entering with fake passport under the name Corner De Mario. According to the police, the 50-year-old fugitive made money by producing and selling porn.

The National Police through Brig. Gen. Awi Setiyono who heads the National Police’s public information bureau said that they had been working closely with the US Marshals Service (USMS) in the US Department of Justice regarding this matter.

“The USMS has agreed to help repatriate two Indonesian fugitives; Indra Budiman or IB and Sai Ngo NG or SNN, in exchange for Marcus Beam,” explain Awi.

Meanwhile, Awi explained that both IB and SNN had been on Interpol’s red notice list since 2018.

IB is wanted for fraud and money laundering, cases of which are related to the sales of Swiss-Belhotel in Bali between September 2012 and August 2014, whereas SNN is wanted for a corruption case related to East Java administration-owned lender Bank Jatim that took place between 2011 and 2012.

IB was reportedly got arrested in California, while SNN got arrested in Texas by the USMS. Both IB and SNN are currently detained over immigration issues, the two had overstayed their visas said Awi.
